Business Wire covered the release of ReturnPro’s new consumer study, The GLP-1 Effect, which surveyed 500 U.S. adults currently or recently taking a GLP-1 medication to examine how the drugs are reshaping shopping and returns behavior. The report found that 69% of GLP-1 users are shopping in-store more due to sizing uncertainty, and 65% are bracketing, or buying multiple sizes with intent to return what doesn't fit, at more than double the rate of general consumers. It also found men are bracketing at nearly double the rate of women, a shift that runs counter to typical retail assumptions. ReturnPro CEO Sender Shamiss was quoted describing the trend as an ongoing pattern retailers need to adapt to now, and the report points to easy exchanges and reverse logistics infrastructure as key opportunities for retailers to capture margin rather than lose it to liquidation.
